Temporal IV - V (2017)

A continuation of the Temporal project:

Denoting both a relationship with the passage of time and with earthly life, the word temporal has a complex double meaning. Everything we interact with is subject to a unique existence and experience—every object is a vessel of time. Yet simultaneously, the land and physical conditions around an object unavoidably contribute to its unique existence. Such dual temporalities of time and space are constructed and delineated based on human experience, formed in both natural and artificial ways.

The impetus for this project was to explore such temporalities and to refute them, reproducing seemingly irreproducible experiences. Using both ancient and contemporary media, I aim to replicate these unique objects and their experiences, attempting to reproduce a specific temporality that is inevitably lost in its own reproduction.
